Existing users: update files in the same extension folder and reload it in Chrome. The optional folder connector is for Windows Chrome.

Set up in three steps

Download and unzip

Click Download the extension above, then unzip the file somewhere you'll keep it (for example your Documents folder). Don't delete the folder afterwards, because Chrome loads the extension from it.

Add it to Chrome

Open Chrome's extensions page by pasting chrome://extensions into the address bar . Switch on Developer mode (top right), click Load unpacked, and choose the unzipped folder. It is the one that contains a file called manifest.json; if Chrome says the manifest is missing, open the folder and pick the inner one. Then click the puzzle-piece icon and pin Alpha Copilot.

Connect your account

Press the button below. The extension links to your account automatically. Then click the Alpha icon in your toolbar to open Copilot.

Ask like you would ChatGPT or Claude

Streaming answers with tables and lists, from any tab. Under every answer: copy it, hear it read aloud, and rate it. Highlight text on a page, right-click, and ask about it.

Knowledge

Your own documents

Upload PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text files. Tag them as DTP, QC, KT, SOP or policy. Answers cite the document. Files stay in your browser.

Guided, with checking

Start from a template or turn a procedure into a checklist. Copilot works through it with you, flags mistakes and shows what's missing.

Browser

Works in your browser

Switch on Browser control and it can go to any site, search, read pages, click and type. Turn on “Work on its own” and it carries a task through to the end, such as searching LinkedIn posts or drafting a new one. It asks you before anything is sent or posted, showing the exact text, and never enters passwords or card details.

Saved prompts and scheduled tasks

Save a prompt and bring it back by typing “/” in the message box. Schedule a task to run by itself every day, every weekday, every week or once: Copilot opens its own windows, does the work and notifies you when it is done. It runs while Chrome is open and asks you if it needs your OK.

Vision

Sees pictures and pages

Paste a screenshot or picture into the message box (Ctrl+V), drop it on the panel or use Add picture, and ask about it. When a page has charts, images or a layout the text does not explain, Copilot can also take a screenshot of it. For debugging it can read a page's console errors and failed requests.

Files

Attach files to web pages

Attach a file with the paperclip and Copilot can upload it into a page for you. It asks first, never uploads files that look like keys or credentials, and you finish with the page's own button.

Office

Excel and Power BI builders

Create Excel formulas, VBA modules and dashboards, Office Scripts, Power Query M and Power BI DAX. With the companion installed, Alpha backs up the selected workbook, applies reviewed Alpha modules and returns Excel test evidence.

Each time you press Connect, this browser gets its own sign-in. Remove any you no longer use or recognise.

How it handles your data

Documents and chats stay in your browser. Alpha doesn't store them.
When you ask something, your question, the few matching passages from your documents, and any page you choose to share are sent to Alpha's server and the AI provider to produce the answer. Alpha records only how many credits the request used.
Credits. Copilot uses the same monthly credits as the agents. Your balance is shown at the top of the panel.
You stay in control. Browser control is off until you turn it on, shows every step, has a Stop button, and asks before anything that could send, buy, delete or change something. Choose “Always allow” once for a site and it stops asking there until you remove it in Settings. Repetitive jobs get a work list that it follows item by item and continues by itself. Buying, deleting, access and account changes always ask.
